Sri Lanka’s Nuwan Indika wins bronze at World Para Athletics Championships 2025

Sri Lanka’s Nuwan Indika has clinched the bronze medal in the Men’s Long Jump (T44) event at the World Para Athletics Championships 2025, held in New Delhi, India.

A seasoned para-athlete and multiple medalist, Nuwan most recently claimed a bronze medal at the 2024 Para World Championships in Japan.

Competing in both the T44 and T64 categories, he has consistently delivered outstanding performances on the international stage. 

At the 2022 Asian Para Championships in China, he captured a gold medal in the 100m event and a silver medal in the long jump. 

At the 2018 Asian Para Championships in Indonesia, he also secured a silver medal.
