After a poor show in the first two days of the Test match, Indian cricket team fought back hard as the first Test between India and Sri Lanka ended in a draw on Monday.

Chasing a 231-run target, the Islanders were wobbling at 75/7 when the play was called off due to poor light.

Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar sent the tourists on backfoot by picking wickets at regular intervals. While Bhuvi picked four wickets, Shami dismissed two batsmen and Umesh Yadav got the big wicket of Angelo Mathews (12).

The day was a memorable one for Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who took his international century count to 50.
