Asian Games 2018: Japan beat Sri Lanka in Rugby 7s semifinal

Japan Defeated Sri Lanka 12 - 10 in the semifinal of the Asian Games Rugby Sevens in Indonesia on Saturday.

Sri Lanka had defeated China 17 – 12 on Friday to qualify for the Rugby Sevens men’s semi-final match.

The Tuskers had progressed to the quarter-finals with a 36-0 win over Afghanistan.

In the other quarterfinal matches Japan defeated Chinese Taipei (43 - 0), South Korea beat Malaysia (40 - 5) while Hong Kong thrashed Thailand (52 - 0).

Sri Lanka faced Japan in the first semi-final on Saturday (September 1) and Korea will take on Hong Kong in the second semi at GBK - Rugby Field.
