Fonseka FR petition hearing postponed

The hearing of the Fundamental Rights petition filed by Anoma Fonseka seeking the release of her husband Rtd. Gen. MP Sarath Fonseka has been postponed to July 8. The Supreme Court took this decision giving time for both parties to formulate objections.

 

 

A Three member bench including the Chief Justice Ashoka De Silva today took this decision. The FR petition was filed by Anoma stating that her husband was unlawfully arrested by the Army and seeking him release.
