Sajith as UNP deputy chairman?

Sources close to the United National Party say that Sajith Premadasa is likely to accept the post of Deputy Chairman of the party after the Working Committee meeting to be held on Wednesday (May 5).
Rukman Senanayake, the former Chairman of the party resigned from the position after the UNP failed to appoint him to Parliament through the National List.
The working committee meeting on Wednesday is to take up the proposed party reforms and will decide on the appointments of a national organizer, which post fell vacant after S.B. Dissanayake crossed over to the government recently, according to UNP spokesman Gayantha Karunatilleke.
