Sri Lankan Cricket squad leaves for England

Sri Lankan national Cricket team has left for England this morning (07) for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

The Sri Lankan squad of 18 (14+4) players plus support staff had departed from the Bandaranaike International Airport at 10.20 a.m. this morning (07) via Dubai-bound airplane of Emirates Airline (EK 651).

However, Lasith Malinga is slated to join the team in England after concluding his commitments to the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), a spokesperson of Sri Lanka Cricket said.

Tight security was provided for the national team until their arrival at the BIA this morning.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will be hosted by England and Wales, from 30 May to 14 July 2019.
