Road Safety World Series: India legends beat Sri Lanka Legends by 14 runs in final

India Legends defeated Sri Lanka Legends  by 14 runs in the final of Road Safety World Series 2021 at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Sunday.

Yusuf Pathan became the star of the match with his all-rounder performance for India legends.

Yusuf smashed an unbeaten 62 and picked up two wickets in his four-over spell to help his side win the inaugural Road Safety World Series T20 tournament.

Earlier in the game, India legends were sent to bat first, the team scored a huge competitive total of 181 runs for the loss of four wickets in limited 20 overs.

Yuvraj Singh continued his good form with the bat and scored 60 runs off just 41 balls, he smashed four sixes and four boundaries.

Farveez Maharoof was the pick of the bowlers for Sri Lanka Legends, returning with figures of one for 16 from his four-over spell. Rangana Herath, Sanath Jayasuriya and Kaushalya Weeraratne also picked up one wicket each.

Yusuf Pathan removed Sri Lanka legends openers Dilshan and Jayasurya; the latter continued losing their wickets in regular intervals.

Dilshan, for leading the chart with 271 runs from eight matches, was adjudged player of the series. Sachin Tendulkar turned out to be the third-highest run getter with 233 runs in the tournament.
