Yupun Abeykoon wins his first race of the season

Sri Lankan Sprinter Yupun Abeykoon kicked off the 2023 season successfully, coming in at first place in the Men’s 200m event at the ‘‘FIRENZE SPRINT FESTIVAL’’ held in Italy yesterday (May 07).
It was the first race that Yupun took part in this year.
Yupun Abeykoon, who competed in the fifth lane at the event continued at pole position from the get go with a successful start towards the end.
He finishes with a timing of 20.60 seconds in the 200m event to place first.
“Was able to run my first race of the season on a good note and hoping to keep achieving this year. Thank you to everyone who has supported me continuously,” the 28-year-old posted on Facebook after the win.
