Dilshan’s daughter in Sri Lanka squad for U19 Women’s T20 World Cup

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Selection Committee has officially announced the 15-member squad for the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup, set to take place in Malaysia.

The tournament, featuring 16 teams, is scheduled to commence on January 18, 2025. Sri Lanka is placed in Group A, alongside Malaysia, West Indies, and India for the preliminary round.

The Sri Lankan team is set to depart for Malaysia on January 11, 2025.

The team will be captained by Manudi Nanayakkara of Princess of Wales College, Moratuwa, with Rashmika Sewwandi of Anura College, Matara, serving as the vice-captain.

A notable inclusion in the squad is Limansa Tillakaratne, the daughter of former Sri Lanka cricket captain Tillakaratne Dilshan.
