The Black Caps have pegged back Sri Lanka but still face a daunting run chase in the third and final one-dayer at Eden Park.

The tourists have made 290 for eight from their 50 overs, after winning the toss and batting.

Opener Pathum Nissanka top-scored with 66 for the tourists, while Matt Henry took four for 55.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat in the dead-rubber third and final one-day-international against the Black Caps at Eden Park.
