Sri Lanka beat Uzbekistan to qualify for Asian Senior Volleyball Championship

Sri Lanka’s national men’s volleyball team has made its way for the 2021 Asian Senior Volleyball Championship after thrashing Uzbekistan for 3-0.

Sri Lanka took on Uzbekistan at the Sugathadasa Stadium on Wednesday (July 14) in the final qualifier.

The Sri Lankan team comfortably sealed its victory with sets of 25/23, 25/13, 25/22.

The Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship is scheduled to be held in Japan from the 12th of 19th of September.

The 21st edition of the championship, organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Japan Volleyball Association (JVA), will take place in Chiba and Funabashi, Japan.

The top two teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship as the AVC representatives.
