Nurses stage protest in Colombo…

The All Ceylon Nurses’ Union staged a massive protest outside the Ministry of Health this afternoon (26 Sep.), calling for amendments to the nursing constitution, and several other key demands including that they be paid allowances as promised, that they be given a five-day work week, and to not undermine or further lower the standards required to join the nursing service.
