Protest against gender-based violence in Colombo…

A protest was organised in Colombo on Monday (27 Nov.), against Gender-Based Violence and Harassment, and several other issues faced by women in the country.
Protesters were seen holding placards calling for the C-190 Convention to be implemented in Sri Lanka, an increase in women representation in Parliament, amendments to the Muslim Marriage and Divorce Act (MMDA) and an end to the large-scale abuse of women and children, amongst other demands.
