The Sri Lanka High Commission in South Africa hosted a special reception at Sri Lanka House on February 05 to commemorate Sri Lanka’s 78th Independence Day, marking the first such celebration held in five years. The landmark event drew wide participation, with a total of 174 guests in attendance, including members of the diplomatic community, Sri Lankans residing in South Africa, as well as government officials, reflecting the strong spirit of national pride and international diplomatic ties.
