PM praises new Global South IR volume…

February 25, 2026

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated that the volume ‘Reimagining International Relations from a Global South Perspective’ offers a timely and rigorous contribution to policy, diplomacy, and global governance, while participating in its launch at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) Auditorium on 24 February 2026. Authored by Emeritus Professor Gamini Keerawella, former Senior Professor of History at the University of Peradeniya and a member of the BCIS Council of Management and Academic Affairs Board, the publication presents a compelling re-examination of International Relations through a distinctly Global South perspective.
