Teenager killed in car-bike collision in Galgamuwa

A 19-year-old youth was killed in an accident involving a car and a motorcycle on the Galgamuwa-Anamaduwa Road in the Palukandawa area of the Galgamuwa police division.

The accident had occurred when a car travelling from Anamaduwa towards Galgamuwa had collided with a motorcycle arriving from the opposite direction of the road.

The motorcycle rider who sustained critical injuries following the accident succumbed to his injuries after being admitted to the Galgamuwa Hospital.

The deceased is a 19-year-old resident of the Galgamuwa area.

The woman who was driving the car involved in the accident has been arrested while Galgamuwa Police is conducting further investigations.
