July 24, 2024   03:17 pm

The Colombo District Court announced that its decision in relation to the interim injunction requested through the plaint filed by former SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara, seeking an order suspending the charge sheet issued initiating disciplinary action against him during Maithripala Sirisena’s tenure as SLFP chairman, will be delivered on July 31.

Meanwhile, the Treasurer of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna had requested the court yesterday (23) through a petition of intervention to permit him to intervene in this case.

Announcing his decision in this regard, the District Judge stated that they have the right to intervene in this case.

Accordingly, the District Judge, who granted time to file objections related to this case, also ordered that the case be recalled again on July 31.
