2024 Presidential Election: Symbols of independent candidates

The electoral symbols have been assigned to the independent candidates who submitted their nominations to contest in the 2024 Presidential Election scheduled for September 21.

Accordingly, the Election Commission has issued electoral symbols to 17 independent candidates running in this year’s presidential election.

The electoral symbols are as follows;

1. Ranil Wickremesinghe – Gas Cylinder

2. Sarath Keerthirathne – Football

3. K.K. Piyadasa - Calculator

4. Ajantha de Soyza – Pineapple 

5. K. Ananda Kularatne - Medal

6. Akmeemana Dayarathana Thero – Black Board

7. Siripala Amarasinghe - Tyre

8. Sarath Fonseka - Lantern

9. Antony Victor Perera – Motor Bicycle

10. Mohamed Ilyaz – Syringe

11. Marakkalamanage Premasiri – Pair of Spectacles

12. Anura Sidney Jayarathne – Jackfruit

13. D.M. Bandaranaike – Table Fan

14. Mailawanagam Thilakaraja - Bird Feather

15. Roshan Ranasinghe – Cricket Bat

16. Pakkiya Selvam Ariyanethiran – Conch Shell

17. Chaminda Anuruddha - Horse Shoe
