Health Minister to make statement on AH1N1 virus in parliament tomorrow

The Minister of Health Maithripala Sirisena will make a statement in parliament tomorrow (January 5) regarding the AH1N1 virus which has raised its head once again in Sri Lanka after DNA MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake brought the issue to light in parliament today.

 

MP Dissanayake added that the virus had been eradicated elsewhere in world while 355 cases and 21 deaths related to swine flu had been reported within the period between November 15 and December 31. He asked the government to take the necessary measures to control the outbreak in the country.
