Anoma Fonseka the wife of the former Army Chief Sarath Fonseka today said that she will lead a protest to free her husband on February 8. She added that on February 8 it would be exactly two years since Fonseka was arrested.

Anoma also stated that her husband is not ready in any way to apologize. However she added that the DNA had held talks with the government to secure the release of Fonseka led by DNA MP Tiran Alles. These discussions have been progressively positive, she claimed. But this is not in any way apologizing as my husband has not done any wrong to seek forgiveness, she stated.
