Son kills elderly father in Dehiattakandiya

An elderly person was killed by his son yesterday (October 13) in the Dehiattakandiya area in Dolakanda after an argument had spiraled out of control, police stated.
The dispute had occurred between the victim and his wife after which the son had assaulted his 67 year old father who had subsequently succumbed to his injuries, police said.
The victim was killed by his eldest son.
The body was taken to the Dehiattakandiya hospital while the Dehiattakandiya police are conducting further inquiries into the incident.
