One person killed after truck collides with train

One person was killed after a tipper truck collided with a train at an unprotected railway crossing in the Thekkam area in Madhu, police stated.

 

The tipper collided with a train bound from Medawachchiya to Madhu.

 

One person was injured in the incident and was taken to the Murukkan hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

 

The victim was the driver of the tipper truck and was a 33 year old resident of Thammannawa.
