Hunters arrested with dead deer in safari jeep

Four persons including a wildlife officer were arrested after officials found a dead deer in the back of their vehicle, last afternoon.

The suspects were spotted by a group of army soldiers near the Katagamuwa forest reserve and were later handed over to the Yala Wildlife office, Ada Derana reporter said.

The suspects will be produced at the Tissamaharama Magistrate’s Court, today.
