40th meeting of HONLEA in Colombo tomorrow

The 40th meeting of the Heads of National Drug Law Enforcement Agencies (HONLEA) for Asia and Pacific will be held from 24 to 27 October at BMICH, Colombo.


Over 100 law enforcement, public security and UN officials will gather to discuss solutions to the growing problem of drug abuse in the Asia-Pacific Region.


The opening of the three-day event will be held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirsena. Minister of Law, Order and Southern Development Sagala Rathnayake will also  participate.


Parallel to the event a ministerial level special meeting will also be held on 29th October under the patronage of the President and Minister Sagala Rathnayake with the participation of relevant ministers from the region.
