Ven. Aggamaha Pandita Davuldena passes away

Mahanayaka of Amarapura Maha Nikaya Most Venerable Aggamaha Pandita Davuldena Sri Gnanissara Maha nayaka thero has passed away. 

 

Venerable Aggamaha Pandita Davuldena was 102 years old, at the time.

 

An event celebrating Ven. Aggamaha Pandita Davuldena work was held earlier this year, to which the President, Maithripala Sirisena attended to as well.

 
Ven. Aggamaha Pandita Davuldena’s last rites, with full state honors, will be held at the Independence square on Thursday (6).
