Ignore political ploys used to create racial tension - President

President Maithripala Sirisena stated that the government has been taking measures to help restore unit and harmony between all the people of the country. 

He added that the government is looking forward to providing solutions to the minorities that were affected, and that they are looking forward to creating an environment where everyone can live independently. 

The president made these statements while attending a daily Ifthar that was hosted, in the season of Ramadan. 

President further made request asking the Muslim community to recognize and avoid certain political ploys that have been stirred to cause racial tensions, and o live with each other in peace and harmony.
