Parliamentarian Chamal Rajapaksa stated that it was fine to carry out business activities with foreign nations as long as it did not put Sri Lanka at a disadvantage.

He pointed out that the Hambantota Port deal with China was not as such, i. e., that it posed a disadvantage to Sri Lanka.

He stated this upon addressing the media following a ceremony in Suriyawewa.
