VAT in tourism industry reduced to 5%

The VAT on hotels and tour operators in the tourism industry has been reduced from 15 percent to 5 percent, the Ministry of Finance stated.
Accordingly, the VAT reduction will subsist until 31st March 2020, the Ministry further said.
This implementation is for the hotels and tour operators registered with Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
