‘Samagi Jana Balawegaya’ launched

The ceremony organized for the launch of the United National Party (UNP) led alliance ‘Samagi Jana Balawegaya’ commenced at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre in Colombo, this morning (02).

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the alliance was signed by the 12 political parties at the event.

Many representatives of the UNP including the Leader of the alliance and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa were present for the event.

Speaking at the event, Leader of the new alliance Sajith Premadasa said today marked the beginning of the new democratic and progressive people’s revolution in the history of Sri Lanka.
