200 kg of heroin and Ice seized in Marawila

Four individuals have been arrested in Marawila with 200 kilograms of narcotic drugs, the Police said.
The arrest has been made at the Thoduwawa area in Marawila by a team of officers of the Department of Excises.
Reportedly, 100 kg of heroin and 100 kg of Ice (Methamphetamine) have been seized from the suspects.
Two motor vehicles, a van, and a lorry used to transport drugs have also been taken into the custody of the Excise Department, said its spokesman Kapila Kumarasinghe.
