Highest inflation in 2021 recorded in July

Sri Lanka has recorded the highest inflation rates for the year 2021 in July.

According to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), the country’s surface inflation was 6.8 percent in July.

This is an increase of 0.7 percent over the previous month, June.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has attributed the rise in prices to both food and non-food items.
