Bodies of murdered couple found inside shop in Vavuniya

The bodies of an elderly married couple, who are suspected to have been murdered, have been discovered inside a shop in Settikulama area of Vavuniya, the police said.
The two bodies of a man (78) and woman (68) were found inside a room located behind the shop in question, which was owned by them, according to police.
The son of the deceased couple who had discovered the bodies this morning (30) had informed the police in this regard.
Meanwhile information has been revealed that around 05 pounds of gold owned by them have been reported missing.
Settikulama Police are conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
