Unidentified assailants open fire at house in Padukka

A group of unidentified assailants has shot at a house in the Madulawa area of Padukka, early this morning (March 01).

Several individuals from Piliyandala area had been temporarily residing in the house at the time of the incident. As per police report, they had been staying there to attend an upcoming ceremony to lay the foundation stone for a house under construction in a nearby plot of land.

Police also mentioned that they were planning to buy the house in question as well.

Padukka Police is conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
