Sri Lanka Police launch second phase of operation ‘Yukthiya’

The ‘Yukthiya’ islandwide operation currently in force to eliminate all illegal activities will be launched with a new vigour from today (7), said the Sri Lanka Police.

Police spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa stated that it is also expected to get the support of the Sri Lanka Army for the ‘Yukthiya’ operation.

DIG Thalduwa, further stated that the second phase of the operation has commenced in several areas around Colombo and it will be expanded, covering the island shortly.
