Dilith Jayaweera explains why other candidates can’t implement their policies

The Presidential Candidate of the ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ alliance, entrepreneur Dilith Jayaweera, has stated that all other presidential candidates are unable to implement the policies in their manifestos due to the influence of the political groups surrounding them.

He made these remarks during a meeting held in Galle.

“I represent a journey for the victory of a strategic programme based on concepts, and therefore, it is a programme that no one can oppose,” he said.

He said that they have worked hard to create a strategic plan that is designed to correct all mistakes that have occurred within traditional politics since the country’s independence in one comprehensive approach.

He further explained that his strategic plan was developed based on extensive surveys and analysis of how other countries have tackled similar challenges, identifying the concepts they used while understanding where Sri Lanka went wrong as a nation.

He further stated, “I have no obligations. There is no black economy that is maintaining me. I don’t hold three or four meetings a day. I don’t pay Rs. 5,000 to bring people to meetings. There is no one to give me that much money. Neither will I accept.”

He stressed that such things would hinder the true implementation of his policies.

He concluded by saying that the other candidates would never be able to implement their policies because of the political groups supporting them.
