Postal vote results for Batticaloa and Kegalle districts released

The postal vote result of the Batticaloa District in the 2024 Presidential Election has been released by the Election Commission.

Independent candidate President Ranil Wickremesinghe has secured the highest number of postal votes in Batticaloa District postal votes.

Ranil Wickremesinghe – 5,967(46.97%)
Sajith Premadasa -  3,205(25.23%)
Anura Kumara Dissanayake –  2,479(19.51%)
P. Ariyanethiran - 901(7.09%)
Namal Rajapaksa – 19(0.15%)

Meanwhile, National People’s Power (NPP) candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake has topped the postal vote result of the Kegalle District securing 20,062 postal votes.

Anura Kumara Dissanayake - 20,062 (59.17%)
Ranil Wickremesinghe – 7,229 (21.32%)
Sajith Premadasa -  5,604 (16.53%)
Namal Rajapaksa – 482 (1.42%)
Dilith Jayaweera -  182 (0.54%)
