Kandy District final results released as NPP wins 9 seats

The Election Commission of Sri Lanka has released the final results of the Kandy District in the 2024 General Election with the National People’s Power (NPP) polling more than 64% of the total votes in the district.

NPP has polled 500,596 votes to win the district while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is second with 145,939 votes (18.83%).

Accordingly, the NPP has secured 9 seats in the district while the SJB has won 2 seats and the NDF secured one seat in the district.

National People’s Power (NPP) – 500,596 (9 seats)
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 145,939 (2 seats)
New Democratic Front (NDF) – 50,889 (1 seat)
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) – 15,762
‘Sarvajana Balaya’ (SRJB) – 14,540
