Digamadulla District preference votes results released

The preferential vote results of the Digamadulla District in the 2024 General Election have been released.

NPP’s Wasantha Piyathissa has polled the highest number of preferential votes in the Digamadulla District with a total of 71,120votes while fellow NPP candidates Manjula Ratnayake (50,838) and Priyantha Wijeratne (41,313) are placed second and third respectively.

Nalin Bandara has managed to secure the highest number of preference votes for the SJB in the district Dayasiri Jayasekara and J.C. Alawathuwala have also obtained seats for the party. 

M.M. Thahir of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC), Meerasahibu Uthumalebbe of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) and Kavindran Kodeeswaran of the Ilankai Thamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) have all secures a seat. 


National People’s Power (NPP)

All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC)

1. M.M Thahir - 14,511

Ilankai Thamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) 

1. Kavindran Kodeeswaran - 11,962
