One person injured in Kosgoda shooting

One person has been injured in a shooting incident in the Kosgoda area this evening (11). 

The shooting has reportedly been carried out by two unidentified gunmen who arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at the victim, who was in a three-wheeler near the Kosgoda Junction. 

The Kosgoda Police Station initiated an investigation based on information received regarding the shooting, which occurred in the Hataramanhandiya area within the Kosgoda Police Division. 

The victim, identified as a 24-year-old resident of Kosgoda and the driver of the three-wheeler, has been admitted to the Balapitiya Hospital for medical treatment.

The motive for the shooting, as well as the identities of the suspects, has not yet been determined.

Further investigations are being carried out by the Kosgoda Police to apprehend the individuals involved.
