Final Kumbal Perahera of Kandy Esala Festival to take to the streets tonight

The fifth and final Kumbal Perahera of this year’s Kandy Esala Festival is scheduled to parade the streets of Kandy tonight (03).
Meanwhile, the fourth Kumbal Perahera paraded the streets of Kandy last night.
The sacred relic casket was carried by the majestic tusker Indiraja while being accompanied by Kottaraja and Pulathisiraja tuskers.
The first Randoli Perahera will commence tomorrow (04).
The final Randoli Perahera is scheduled to parade the streets on August 8, and the Kandy Esala Perahera Festival will conclude with the Day Perahera scheduled for August 9.
