Three injured in head-on collision between bus and defender in Hingurakgoda

At least three individuals have been hospitalized after a private passenger bus and a Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Defender vehicle collided along the Hingurakgoda–Medirigiriya main road this morning (19), police stated.

The incident took place at around 7:30 a.m. in Kimbulawala along the Hingurakgoda–Medirigiriya main road.

At the time, the bus was traveling from Wadigawewa, Medirigiriya towards Hingurakgoda, while the defender was traveling in the opposite direction.

According to Ada Derana correspondent, three Air Force personnel traveling in the defender sustained minor injuries in the accident.

The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, and further investigations are being conducted by the Hingurakgoda Police.
