Online applications now open for jobs in Israel’s construction sector: SLBFE

The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has announced that Sri Lankans can now apply online for employment opportunities under the fourth phase of the renovation sub-sector within Israel’s construction industry.

Accordingly, interested candidates can register via the official SLBFE website: www.slbfe.lk.

The online application link will remain open until September 14, 2025.

Accordingly, construction workers (electrical panel installation, plastering, painting, partitions), ceramic tile layers and plasterers will be recruited.

A total of 1,500 applicants will be selected under this program, the SLBFE noted.

Selected candidates will be offered a 63-month (5 years and 3 months) employment contract.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age between 25 to 45 years
  • Must not have previously worked in Israel
  • Must have passed at least Grade 10
  • Must possess skills and experience relevant to the job category they are applying for

Selection Process:

  • Initial screening of applications
  • Basic skills assessment conducted at district centers under the National Apprenticeship and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA)
  • Candidates who pass will be referred to NAITA headquarters in Katubedda for further evaluation
  • Successful applicants will have their names forwarded to PIBA (Population and Immigration Authority of Israel) for selection via a lottery-based system

The SLBFE also advised applicants not to make any payments to third parties in relation to these job opportunities.

All recruitment is handled through official government channels, and no external party is authorized to collect fees, the Bureau added.
