23-year-old drowns in hotel swimming pool in Katana

A 23-year-old youth has died after drowning in a hotel swimming pool in the Kandawala area of Katana.
The deceased has been identified as a resident of Maskeliya, Maussakelle.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the victim drowned while swimming with several friends at the hotel pool, said police.
Katana Police have commenced further investigations into the incident.
