Veteran radio icon Chithra Kalubowila passes away

Veteran radio presenter and journalist Chithra Kumari Kalubowila has passed away at the age of 68, family sources confirmed.

It is reported that she passed away while receiving treatment in hospital for an illness.

Kalubowila, a distinguished figure in Sri Lanka’s radio industry, made an enduring contribution to the field over several decades.

Details regarding funeral arrangements are to be announced in due course.
