Turkey bound flight attempts to re-land at BIA due to technical issue

An aircraft that departed from the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) bound for Istanbul, Turkey, is preparing for an emergency landing.

Due to technical issues, it is reported that preparations are underway for the plane to land again at the BIA.

It is reported that there are 202 passengers on board the aircraft.
