Two Russian nationals rescued after being swept away by strong currents at Ahungalla Beach

Two Russian nationals who went sea bathing at Ahungalla Beach were rescued after being swept away by strong water currents.

The incident occurred yesterday (12), police stated.

Several officers attached to the Police Lifeguard Unit of the Ahungalla Police Division were involved in the rescue operation.

The two rescued Russian nationals are aged 35 and 45, police added.
