Two fishing boats seized with 270 kg of ‘Ice’ and heroin off southern coast

Two multi-day fishing trawlers transporting a large haul of drugs in the deep seas off the southern coast have been taken into custody during a joint operation by the Sri Lanka Navy and Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB).
Upon inspection, the officials had discovered approximately 270 kilograms of Crystal Methamphetamine (commonly known as ‘Ice’) and heroin concealed inside the boats.
