Six police officers arrested for allegedly assaulting Catholic priest further remanded

Six police officers who were arrested for allegedly assaulting a Catholic priest in Gampaha have been further remanded until January 29, 2026. 

The group of officers has been remanded after being produced before the Gampaha Magistrate’s Court today (26). 

The Magistrate has also directed that an identification parade be conducted on January 29, 2026.
