Landslide early warnings issued to areas in two districts

The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued early landslide warnings for several areas in two districts within the Central Province.

Accordingly, the landslide warning issued by the NBRO at 06.00 a.m. today (13), will remain in effect for the next 24 hours.     

District and Divisional Secretariat Divisions that have been issued Level 2 (Amber) landslide warnings, advising people to remain cautious and vigilant, are as follows:

Nuwara Eliya District: Walapane and Nildandahinna DSDs and surrounding areas

Meanwhile, the district and the Divisional Secretariat Division that have been issued with Level 1 (Yellow) warnings advising people to remain watchful, are as follows:

Kandy District: Pathahewaheta DSD and surrounding areas
