Professor HMJC Pitawala appointed new Vice-Chancellor of Uva Wellassa Uni.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Professor H.M.J.C. Pitawala as the new Vice-Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University.
The letter of appointment was presented to Professor Pitawala by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, this afternoon (29).
This appointment is effective from November 02, 2026.
Prior to this appointment, Professor H.M.J.C. Pitawala served as a professor in the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Uva Wellassa University.
